Pick a PDF (diploma, transcript, ID card, certificate), choose a size limit and download the result. Scanned images inside the PDF are made smaller, while text and line art are left as they are. PDFs with an electronic signature are left untouched so the signature stays valid. Everything runs on your device.

How This PDF Compressor Works
A scanned PDF is essentially a large photo on every page. This tool opens the PDF in your browser, finds those images and saves them again as smaller JPEGs at a resolution that is still comfortable to read. Text, fonts and lines are not changed. In Target Size mode, several quality levels are tried until the sharpest result under the limit is found.

Tips for Small but Clear Scanned PDFs
Scan at 150 to 200 dpi. 300 dpi or more makes files very large, while 150 dpi is plenty for reading on screen.
Pick the right colour mode. Black-and-white documents only need a greyscale scan, which is far smaller than full colour.
Photograph documents in even light. Shadows and messy backgrounds make files bigger and text harder to read after compression.
Combine first, then compress. If one upload must hold several pages, put them into a single PDF first (for example with an images-to-PDF tool), then compress once.
Always check the result. Open the compressed PDF and make sure numbers, names and stamps are still readable before uploading.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The PDF is read and compressed directly in your browser with JavaScript. No file is sent to SoftwareHub or anyone else, so it is safe for personal documents such as diplomas, passports and ID cards.
Choose Target Size mode, tap the limit you need (for example Under 500 KB) and press Compress PDF. The tool tries several quality levels and keeps the sharpest one that still fits under the limit. Always check the exact size rules in the official instructions, since every portal is different.
Scanned PDFs and photographed documents, because each page is a large image. Those images are re-encoded and resized. PDFs made of digital text (for example exported from Word) are usually small already, so the reduction is modest.
If the compressed result is not smaller than the original, the tool gives you the original back so quality is not lost for nothing. This usually happens with text-only PDFs, PDFs that were already compressed, or images in special formats (such as CMYK or JPEG 2000) that are deliberately left alone. Electronically signed PDFs are not changed either, because saving the file again would invalidate the signature.
Yes. Only the images inside the PDF are compressed. Digital text, fonts, lines and vector signatures are not touched, so they stay selectable, copyable and searchable. In a scanned PDF the text was an image from the start.
No. A PDF that is locked with a password or encrypted cannot be read in the browser. Remove the password first in the app you used to create it, then compress it here.
Light keeps image quality high (good for printing), Balanced stays sharp on screen at a much smaller size, and Strong gives the smallest file with slightly less detail. If you have a specific size limit, Target Size mode is easier.
Up to 10 files per run, each up to 100 MB. Files are processed one after another and can be downloaded one by one or all together. On phones with little memory, very large PDFs can take longer.
